Capturing the Art of Napoletan Tailoring: A Photographic Project with Ciro Pipoli
As a shirtmaker, I have always believed that visual art, like photography, has many points of contact with tailoring. The intricate details, the love for proportions and the use of high-quality materials are just some of the aspects that bring the art of tailoring closer to photography.
Why Ciro Pipoli ?
Ciro Pipoli is first of all a young Neapolitan. Despite being very young, he has already been able to express his art in the field of Italian haute couture. He has a unique eye for detail and is known for his ability to capture the essence of a subject.
The Concept of the Photographic Project
Ciro Pipoli and I have been discussing the idea of collaborating on a project that captured the art of Neapolitan tailoring. We wanted to create a photo project that showcased the essence of the beauty and sophistication of this style of tailoring. We decided to focus on the protagonists, the details, the materials and the craftsmanship necessary to create a piece of Neapolitan tailoring.
The project creation process
The first step in creating the project was finding the right subjects. We wanted to work with tailors who were passionate about their craft and had a deep understanding of the Neapolitan sartorial style.
Once we had our subjects, we began the photoshoot planning process. We worked closely with the tailors to share the vision for the project and ensure every detail was perfect.
The Final Product: A Showcase of Napoletan LifeStyle
The final product was a stunning showcase of Napoletan tailoring. The photographs captured the beauty and sophistication of the tailoring style, highlighting the intricate details and the use of high-quality materials.
And next ?
In the coming months, in addition to sharing Ciro’s wonderful shots with you, I will have the opportunity to show you VARIOUS new products, the first already next weekend, which I am sure you will love to wear.
